The Project124 InterVarsity Competitions is a platform designed to bring the country’s best university minds under one roof to both birth innovative solutions to the nation’s greatest challenges, as well as showcase the brilliance of Botswana’s innovative students within the Business, Entrepreneurship & Innovation space.
The competitions are scheduled for the 29th – 31st July 2021 in Gaborone, held under the theme “Leveraging Student Participation In The National Covid-19 Economic Recovery Plan”. The competitions will bring together all the host universities of the Project124 Student Clubs like yourselves, to compete on the following categories:
- Pitch Competitions
- National Development Innovation
- Leadership Debate
- Market Day Competition

Project124 now does not only have reach on the young people across the country, but also the professionals from the corporate Botswana, as well as a variety of university students countrywide. The Project124 Student Clubs that we have established in different universities serves to achieve the following objectives:
- Ignite and fire up students to attempt entrepreneurial activities and consider entrepreneurship as serious career option.
- Link the practical nature of the Project124 training and the venture creation process with the concepts of the courses offered by universities.
- Give real-time support to ventures so that they have the potential to become real ventures.
- Orchestrate connects, events and sessions with experts and mentors to create a vibrant ecosystem on campus.
To date, Project124 has launched its first 4 clubs in Boitekanelo College, New Era College, BA ISAGO University, University of Botswana and more universities have come on board and are ready to sign an MoU with Project124 to grow their Student Entrepreneurship Culture including Botho University, Limkokwing University, and GUC.
